Data kept on your device
The web studio saves your library in IndexedDB. The Expo web application uses browser local storage, and native applications use a local SQLite database. Browser caches and the service worker may also retain application files and artwork for faster loading.
You control local backups you export. Clear Shakel site data, clear the library, or uninstall the native app to remove local data.
Hosted data, purposes, and recipients
Loading the official site, studio, or CDN sends Netlify ordinary request information such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, time, and sometimes a referrer. It is used to deliver and secure the requested service and operate the hosting platform. CDN requests include the avatar recipe, requested format, and size. Recipe URLs are public identifiers, not secrets, so do not put confidential information in or around a shared URL.
Shakel currently has no application account database, advertising tracker, product analytics, crash reporter, or separate application-level request-log store. On a CDN origin invocation, Shakel emits one operational line containing a templated route, representation, allowlisted size, response status, render latency, and failure flag. It excludes the raw recipe, IP address, user agent, referrer, and local-library data.
LAB operates the official Shakel service and uses Netlify to host and secure it. Netlify may process hosted request information in locations described by its privacy and data-processing terms. No other application data recipient is configured.
Telemetry, retention, and changes
No optional analytics is enabled today. If analytics or another data-collecting service is proposed later, this notice and any required consent flow must be updated before it is enabled.
Local records remain until you remove them. Netlify retains function activity logs for at least one day and, depending on the service plan, up to seven days; Shakel has no log drain or longer-lived application log store.
Your choices and privacy rights
You can remove device-local records using Shakel’s clear-library action, browser site-data controls, or application uninstall controls. The hosted service has no account record or central avatar record to delete. Send privacy questions or rights requests to contact@lab.sa.
If Saudi Arabia’s Personal Data Protection Law applies, people may have rights to know the legal basis and purpose, access or obtain a copy, correct, or request destruction of their personal data, subject to the law’s conditions and exceptions.
Operator, audience, and store status
LAB operates the official Shakel service from Saudi Arabia. Contact LAB at contact@lab.sa for private support or privacy requests.
Shakel is intended for people aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. The mobile applications are offered worldwide where the applicable store and local law permit. The reviewed native binaries declare no tracking or collected data; those store disclosures must be reviewed again whenever the app, SDKs, or hosted data paths change.
