Target and test evidence
The public site and web editor target WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Their release tests run automated accessibility scans across core routes and editor states, require 44 CSS-pixel action targets, exercise keyboard behavior and reduced motion, and capture desktop, phone, 200% text, and right-to-left screenshots.
Native controls expose names, roles, selected states, and live announcements. The repository publishes repeatable VoiceOver and TalkBack core-journey scripts and an accessibility release evidence checklist.
Known exceptions and limits
Shakel’s source locale is English and translated product copy is not yet shipped. Layouts are tested for expansion and right-to-left direction, but that is not a claim of Arabic localization.
Physical-device VoiceOver, TalkBack, Dynamic Type, Android font scaling, and platform high-contrast evidence remains a manual release check. Downloaded raster files cannot carry embedded alternative text, so the surrounding download action and file name identify their avatar recipe.
